Firmware v1.19 for the LG GCE-8240B burner. After downloading double-click the file to start the extraction program. Accept the default unzip folder (C \8240firm119) then click the UNZIP button. 2 files will be written to the folder. One is the firmware (the exe file) and the other is a instructions.txt file. Be sure to read/print the instructions before attempting to use the firmware upgrade. Paying particular attention to the section dealing with whether your drive is OEM or LG.
